2010 will herald even more online (eCommerce) sales
There is no doubt that short of an internet malfunction that online sales from e-Commerce stores will rise in 2010. 60% of Vancouver residents polled agreed they would consider Boxing Day Sale shopping online. This year Futureshop and Best Buy released their boxing day sale online at 8pm on the 24th December. Their instore sales started on the 26th at 6am as normal. There were some benefits to shopping at both but if the item you want is online then you can save yourself a lot of hassle by shopping from home. After spending way too much time reading the boxing day sale catalogs and studying the websites there seemed to be no clear difference to shopping online and shopping in store. In fact when I went instore at 6am on the 26th the items I wanted were online and there were no door crashers in store that I could not get online.
